Run with Running Start 2022

Growing up in Iowa, I did not see many people that looked like me run for public office and advocate for the issues that matter in my community. Paving the path is hard but so important.
I felt very supported by the other women in my Congressional Fellowship cohort! Everyone was on the same mission and it is what made my experience so amazing.
To continue my experiences from my Running Start program, I build my network of women and empower them to pursue their goals and dreams. I try to be a cheerleader whenever I can for other women.
Running Start gave me the confidence to start my career. Without the program and network, I would be selling myself short from so many different opportunities. I encourage other young women of color to join this network because it needs YOU!
